A Dog Named Bo

BoLast week I woke up and found this on my Facebook page:

“Just wanted you to hear the good news about Bo. We took him for his vet appointment Tuesday, and the veterinary commended us on how well behaved he was during his appointment. She has seen such a change in his behavior, and feels he has come a long way with his behavior! We told her that you helped us with training techniques that helped us better understand his negative behavior. We still have more work with him, but I wanted to thank you for all your help! You helped us make such a difference in Bo’s life by not giving up on him! Thank you for all your help!”

Old Bo was on the ropes. Bo had been evaluated and deemed aggressive but the family that adopted Bo are certified animal lovers and were not ready to give up.

That’s when I got the call.

I spent about 20 minutes evaluating Bo and came to the conclusion that even though he had done some behaviors to concern the family he was really a nice dog.

Like a lot of dogs, Bo overstimulated quickly and this would often lead to the behaviors that were unacceptable.

We started to do some leadership, obedience and redirecting of behaviors to help deal with his unacceptable behaviors.

I love this part of the job but honestly the family did most of the work and deserves the credit. I spend a few hours with the dog but the family has to implement and follow through with the training.

Anyway, having a dog can be difficult at times. Housetraining, chewing, aggression, barking and other behaviors can seem like they are impossible behaviors to overcome. Dog training has become a confusing topic and is flooded with opinions.

The good news is….The Dog Training Inner Circle is where I show you how to deal with any problem you may have with your dog. It is also the place to learn more about dog training and behavior.

Here’s where to go:
