I Have A Bad Feeling That Whenever A Lesbian Looks At Me…

I have a bad feeling that whenever a lesbian looks at me they think, “That’s why I’m not a heterosexual.” –George Costanza

I almost fell off the couch the first time I heard this line watching Seinfeld.

I saw it again the other night and wondered what dogs think when they look at us.

It’s tough to try and figure out what others are thinking. In fact, it’s best to just forget it all together and live the way you want. I always like what Eleanor Roosevelt said: “Your opinion of me is none of my business.”

All kinds of problems can crop up when you start thinking about this because we often want people to think the way we do.

We even want our dogs to think the way we do AND in a lot of cases, people think dogs CAN think like us.

It’s called anthropomorphism and it can get you into trouble.

This is the time of the year we dress our pets up in costumes which is fun and cute but…..

…..it’s important to remember that they will never think like humans, that we have to learn to think like our dogs and keep our emotions out of it.

So why am I getting all philosophical?

Because when we think our dogs think like us and they are “getting back at us” we start to think punishment and anger creeps in and the relationship can get adversarial.

It’s best to remember that your little (or big) furry buddy that lives in the house with you operates on more basic emotions.

Revenge, spite and guilt are reserved for we humans to wallow in.

Anyway, if you want to think like your dog you can. One great place to learn is The Good K9 Manners Program that I have put together for you. You can get all the details by going here NEXT:

  1. I just bought my 100lb pyrenees Three Pink Dresses. And she was so excited to try them on and prance around. Hahaha. So I think they like to be funny and silly like us. Revenge, spite and guilt. Nope. Their smaller brains can’t wrap around that concept. Good thing, too!
